The main production methods of non-woven fabrics are as follows:
(1) Spunlace non-woven fabric
Spunlace non-woven fabric is the most commonly used method. The high-pressure thin water jet is sprayed onto one or more layers of the fabric to entangle the fibers and strengthen the fabric. It can guarantee a special soft and thick feeling, and at the same time has a certain tensile strength. Other non-woven fabrics are made by melting and spunbonding processes. However, the production cost of spunlace non-woven fabrics is high, and the higher the cotton content, the better. Some small manufacturers use dust-free paper, which is low cost, but it can easily cause allergies.
(2) Thermally bonded non-woven fabric
Add fibrous or powdery hot-melt bonding reinforcing material to the fiber web, and then heat to melt and cool the reinforcing cloth.
(3) Pulp flows into the non-woven fabric net
Also known as dust-free paper, dry paper non-woven fabric. The wood pulp fiberboard is opened into a single fiber state by airflow forming technology, and then the fibers are glued to the screen by the airflow method, and then the fiber web is reinforced into a cloth.
(4) Wet non-woven fabric
The fiber raw material in the water medium is opened into a single fiber, and different fiber raw materials are mixed at the same time to form a fiber suspension slurry, which is transported to the network forming mechanism, and the fiber is formed into a web and then consolidated into a cloth in a wet state.
(5) Spunbond non-woven fabric
After the polymer is extruded and stretched, the continuous filaments formed are spread into a network, and the fiber network is self-bonded, thermally bonded, chemically bonded or mechanically strengthened to make the fiber network into a non-woven fabric.
(6) Meltblown non-woven fabric
Process: polymer feeding-melt extrusion-fiber formation-fiber cooling-netting-reinforcement into cloth.
(7) Needle punched non-woven fabric
Dry-laid non-woven fabrics use the perforation effect of needle punching to reinforce the fluffy fiber web into a cloth.
(8) Sewing and weaving non-woven fabrics
In dry non-woven fabrics, warp-knitted web structures are used to reinforce fiber webs, yarn layers, non-woven materials (plastic sheets, plastic foils, etc.) or their combination to make non-woven fabrics.
(9) Hydrophilic non-woven fabric
Mainly used in the production of medical and health care materials to get a better feeling without scratching the skin. Like sanitary napkins, sanitary pads use hydrophilic non-woven fabrics with hydrophilic functions.
